When did LIRR start using color-light type signals? Interesting to see a restricting signal appear as the train goes by it. Keeps things moving.
 
I had seen a diagram of the new Control Points and the control center that will control them with the opening of the East Side Access. AFAIR almost everything upto Woodside will be controlled out of PSCC, also including the new CPs like Plaza controlling the access to ESA tunnels. If my recollection is correct then these new signals will be controlled out of PSCC.
