"Tearing up the tracks" - Medium's Essays on Train Travel (Dec '16)
https://medium.com/browse/416e712240c7
(Chaz comments: The "tearing up" here is not 'tearing out the tracks" but more like a train tearing down/up the line)
1.) Ulaanbaatar Mongollia 2005
2.) "The Other Side of the Tracks Something great may be coming down the line…" (Author ponders stopping as trains approach (not trying to beat the train) & feels a presence)
3.) "Missed Connection: You Were a Girl on the Train, I Was a Huge ****" (euphemisn for 'scaredy cat' - bleeped by this forum lol)
[not unusual for NY/NJ commuter train singles!]
4.) Night Train To Freedom
Schengen's museum of the history of borders & old/recent freedom trains
5. Diary of a Train Traveler (Amtrak etc)
For the past three years, I’ve only traveled long distance by train. Traveling by train has given me incalculable experiences and interactions, all in which I’m grateful for both as a human and as a writer.
