I plan to replace my ancient home PC next week and was tentatively going to order an Hewlett Packard model through the shopping portal to earn the 2X points. Does anyone have any recent shopping experience with HP through the portal that they can share? Positive or negative, since this is going to be a larger purchase than I usually have made through the portal. Thanks...
 
FWIW I ordered the HP computer on Friday (8/5) and the points showed up as pending today (8/8). Which is as it should be since they immediately charged my card and shipped the monitor on Friday. Still waiting for news of the PC itself shipping (and getting here for me to use, of course). Two points per dollar on the total transaction amount, less taxes.

So this has turned out to be a safe vendor to use for the points. These points will help for a potential trip next year...
