Both are just west of SAS in service disruption. They had a lot of rain a few days ago, I wonder if thaat is the issue. I was scheduled to be on tomorrow's 1 out of NOL, but have now canceled.

There was a washout around SAS. The repair process is ongoing.

Austin had over 10" and south of Bryan over 17" in a few hours the other night, now Houston has flood warnings. Last night the Texas Hill Country, northwest and west of San Antonio, had very heavy rain so the run off to the south for the next few days will be a problem. I see on the radar that storms, though smaller are still dropping rain in the area. Southwest Texas used to be in a major drought, some big recreational/reservoir lakes were as low as 4% of capacity which are now so full (over 100%) that they dumping water downstream which is flooding some areas. Feast or famine in Texas.

Just got back from a trip of Texas, Memphis, St Louis, and Kansas City. Me missed most of the bad weather, until our drive from Memphis to St Louis. The rain was so bad that we would not see a yard in front of the car. Everything was just a blur that we had to get off the interstate and wait it out. If what we went through is any indication of what is going on in Texas, then I can only imagine the troubles the railroads are facing. Never seen thunder and lighting like the ones we saw before.
