Thank you both for your maps. I find them both informative and faster than Amtrak's offering. (Of course, I haven't been to Amtrak's Track-a-Train for a long time; maybe it's faster. Probably the only way I'll find out is if someone reports it here.)

Okay. Now it's official. 10 Years!

The first entry in the log of map "hits" is:

.

12 Sep 2006 East 9 9
.

This information is logged just after midnight for the day before. This shows an accumulated total of 9 viewings for the east map, followed by 9 hits for the day. In those days there only was a single map. Here's this morning's entry showing hits for yesterday:

.

12 Sep 2016 East 3291627 100812 Sep 2016 NE 934121 32012 Sep 2016 MW 1245537 35712 Sep 2016 West 5154436 157512 Sep 2016 NW 393458 15612 Sep 2016 NEC 1346507 66812 Sep 2016 Cal 551449 22612 Sep 2016 Total 4310.
This shows 1008 East hits for yesterday making an all time total for hits for the East map of 3291627. The combined number of hits for all the maps for yesterday was 4310. That's a typical daily total. During periods of heavy travel, like Thanksgiving, or disasters like 188 or Sandy, it can be more than double that.

A milestone to report for my site: 4,000 unique users a day as determined by Google Analytics as of June 14th, and it has not dropped below that since, averaging around 4400.

It reached 4000 point a couple times earlier this year, but those were two random Fridays, nothing resembling a trend. For comparison, the most during the past Christmas season was 3700 on 12/23, and Thanksgiving Sunday was 3450. (Thanksgiving Wednesday is not accurate due to the server overload and emergency changes that day)

Thanks to both of you for your maps. I use them quite often, for entertainment just to see how my favorite trains are doing and even more often when I have an upcoming trip. Great work!
