Does anyone know why this is? Will it also detour across Wyoming as it sometimes does?

Perhaps problems in the mountains due to the recent snow (I think I heard they were getting a lot of snow recently).

The tracks that go across the Great Salt Lake branch from the regular CZ route in Wells, NV, go to Ogden, then south towards Salt lake City.

I would bet there are issues or maintenance on the normal route between Wells and Salt Lake City.

If the train is going to go through Wyoming it will veer off just south of Ogden and follow I-84 into WY, or it could go to SLC and rejoin it's regular route and go over Soldier Summit.
