Fantastic article George K about something really exciting. Since Amtrak is just soliciting proposals, I'm not holding my breath for completion, but it's a start.

Mixed feelings about replacing the worn marble staircases. I kind of liked them, considering the millions of train travelers that trod on them, including my parents and myself when I was a youngster. Still nothing lasts forever.

Sounds great. But I'm still waiting to see the grandiose plans for the 'Moynihan Station' (NYP extension), to come to fruition....

But Penny, why two sentence twice repeated?

The linked article references Denver Union Station. We will see whether Chicago can match Denver here. Or will the project be shrouded in secrecy accompanied by AU'ers making excuses why completion keeps getting pushed back.
