Train took wrong turn onto Ohio Turnpike. Traffic jam resulted from backing train up exit ramp. ( sorry, early Sunday morning attempt at humor)
 
My daughter is on this train, her first solo trip. Crew reports hitting a trespasser around 5:00 am this morning. Expected to arrive in Chicago around 12:40 pm.

Sorry that this had to happen on your daughter's first solo Amtrak trip. I found this breaking news report on the trespasser fatality from the Sandusky Register: Woman struck, killed by train. The initial report is sparse on details. Excerpt:

One woman is dead after being struck by a train near East Perkins Avenue in Huron Township.

Deputies and paramedics were called out to the scene after a call came in to dispatchers at 5:46 a.m. Sunday, according to the incident report.
