How does this run work out... On time etc? On major highways? Any stops ?

Since it is a decicated Coach it will wait for the Eagle if it is late and if you are connecting to the Eagle will get you to Longview in plenty of time.

I have ridden both ways. Even though my Eagle was running two hours late, the bus still leaves Houston on time. Both ways we stopped at a truck stop/convenience store with a Subway restaurant on the north side of Nacogdoches. The bus is a big tour bus and was very clean and comfortable since everyone had two seats to themselves. I believe the route was on US 59 and US259.

Since we arrived Longview several hours before the train, they offered to take people into town to shop for a bit, but I stayed at the station.

While it was not a bad experience, I've decided to start or end my future trips that involve a Chicago connection from NOL since I can fly there for about $50 and take the CONO.

Anybody know what model of bus it is? I've seen pic from the company but they have models.
Lone Star provides the service and from what I understand they use a mix of MCI, Prevost and Van Hool. There are usually 2 in the lot when the Eagle pulls in, 1 for Houston and one for Shreveport.
Interesting. I rode the Longview-Shreveport Thruway connection in 1999 and it was a 15-passenger van. I was the only passenger so I still had plenty of room

to stretch out!
