Generally on the rear. I was in the last car last week. Got some good rail fan window pics. Also watched as we backed into Denver.
 
Sleepers are usually on the rear, unless you are in a transdorm, then you will be in the front.
 
The #632 Sleeper is on the rear, then the #631, Diner, SSL, Coaches ( 2-3), Transdorm and Baggage.

Have a great trip thru the mountains and then the praries and the corn fields Eddie!!
 
That's right! An AUer was banned from the party cars to the transdorm. Hey, at least we didn't make him be a lounge lizard. :giggle:
