There are a large number of train-related groups on Facebook, and today, there is a new Amtrak Fans group. AU members may see some familiar participants in this group!

On a "completely unrelated" note, if you were a member of the "Amtrak Pros" group, you're, uh, not anymore. They downsized a little bit.

On Facebook there are at least half a dozen distinct groups all named Amtrak! And there are about 3 dozen or so groups with the word "Amtrak" in their name! Fascinating!

There is a Subreddit /r/Amtrak which I frequent a fair bit.
Additionally there is an Amtrak Google+ Community: https://plus.google.com/communities/103654052646327795067
The Google+ community is sadly pretty dead. The Subreddit on the other hand seems to have a little bit of activity, namely new riders asking questions. I do try and post Amtrak news on there when I see big things.
