I am not sure where to post this and I know some kind soul will correct me or move it, but I thought I would share.

If you have or haven't been fortunate enough to see Railroads on Parade in Pottersville, NY, might I encourage you to do so before Columbus Day.

My husband and I had to chance to see this awesome model train display a few years ago, and honestly, we were like too big kids "oohing and aahing" over all the wonderful things, such as the drive-in movie theater that shows a real movie and the ice-skating dogs and other really fun stuff. The displays were designed by Broadway set designers and the details -- and the trains -- are amazing.

Unfortunately, the parade's financial backer is leaving ..and so the show will close after Columbus Day. They are looking for serious investors or even a new spot to show these wonderful displays.

Here are is an article about the Parade and the link for the website.

I really hope you get to see this before it leaves -- maybe for good.

If you have little ones, they will love this place, too. They even have trains displayed lower behind the glass for even the shortest of the pee-wees!

Can't say enough good things about this place, so please, go see it!

VentureForth: It was wonderful. I managed to go on Saturday and spent about 4 hours there. It was great to see so many BIG kids (like me) enjoying the trains one last time and all the little kids, too.

Barbara and her husband Dean (I think that is his name), posted some photos on Facebook of their last day and information about the upcoming auditions.

I know there are a few things I would like to have, but I am sure I won't be able to afford them and no room for them anyway.
