The Amtrak website shows that there are downloadable route guides for many of the trains. I did so for The Cardinal. Lots of ink and paper got used!

When I last traveled on Amtrak, Route Guides were supplied in one's Sleeper accommodations. Is that still the case?

I download the file and save it as a pdg then just put it on my Asus tablet. I also cut and past info from it to created my own trip guide which combines many different sources.

We just returned from trips on the Lake Shore and Cap. Ltd and we had route guides on both.
Last October on the LSL, there was no route guide in my room, but after I told the SCA it was my first time on the LSL, he brought me one.

Couldn't help noticing that the time zone info in the route description was out of date -- it dated back to when most of Indiana didn't observe daylight saving time.

The Crescent had a route guide and timetable in the room when I got on.

When printing, try to use a setting like draft, that won't use as much ink.
