Thank you Vets for all you do and have done. At least we Americans can travel freely.

My BIL grew up in Poland during the Socialist rule. He had to obtain permission to travel to other parts of Poland, even to neighboring towns! That would be like us having to obtain permission to go from BOS to CHI or ABQ to FLG!

:hi:

Thanks Jim, and thanks to all of the other vets out there. Who else here has served in the military?

One of my favorite pictures from that time:

Happy Veterans Day to all of you who served. My heartfelt thanks to all of you and your families too. We as a nation owe you a debt of gratitude that we can never repay! My thanks also to my husband-USMC 1969-1973, 1969-70 in Viet Nam, 0311 Grunt (Combat Marine). SEMPER FI!

United States Navy, June 2006 - present. I am a Submarine Auxiliarymen currently stationed in Guam on board the USS Frank Cable. From July 2007 to July 2012 I was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia on board the USS Scranton. To all those that serve, and have served, thank you.

That picture looks like it was taken at NOB. If so, I have departed and arrived at pier 3 (the submarine pier) numerous times between 2007 and 2012. I was stationed aboard the USS Scranton (SSN-756) and called NOB home.
