Hello,

How is the entrance to the King station in seattle affected due to the renovation process? We have an elderly lady and 5 kids to help get onto the train in a few days, so any knowledge in advance helps.

Thanks

The entrance is on the west side and you come in off of Jackson Street taking 2nd Ave. south to King Street and over east to the station. Since taxis are right there at the doors, I imagine you can get your car in there for drop off as well.

Here's a link to some pictures I took of the station renovations, as of a couple of months ago. The temporary entrance is on the west side of the station, north of the original station entrance. As far as I can tell, the temporary station is accessible, but it's a bit of a mob scene sometimes, since it has less space than the original station waiting room. Get there early, and your friends won't have any troubles.

Thanks for the replies. And thanks Charlie for the photos! Nothing like some visual aid! I work better with them :-). Excited about our Empire builder trip!
