I just received an email from AGR regarding the Summer Stretch promotion targeted to Select Plus members. Just last night, I had decided that I might take a trip to Portland, Maine starting on August 11th. Based on this promotion, I think I will travel earlier to get an extra 50% bonus.
Amtrak miles: 101,379; Routes: Silver Meteor, Champion (1973), Silver Star, Auto Train, Capitol Limited, Empire Builder, Lakeshore Limited, Adirondack, Vermonter, Cardinal, California Zephyr, Coast Starlight, Texas Eagle (CHI-STL), Missouri River Runner, Acela Express (FC), Southwest Chief, Cascades, Crescent, City of New Orleans, Hiawatha Service, Maple Leaf, Keystone Service, Northeast Regional, Downeaster.
VIA miles: 4,584; Routes: The Canadian (westbound), Ocean (eastbound/westbound).

I just got the offer for Select members. You get additional 25% in addition to your usual select bonus. I may have to travel somewhere!

Why don't I get anything special? Boooooo. I am S and my H is S+ and I don't see it for either of us 
and I have an acela trip for wok next week.

I hope you book on the Silver Meteor on August 11. We will be on that train.
I was thinking about it, but wanted the entire trip to qualify. I just booked July 21st on the Star.

Got this offer as well. So long as you aren't short on TQPs, this is actually better than the targeted Summer Well Spent rail promo for tickets under $35 and over $50.

I got the offer this morning, just AFTER I got back from SAV this morning.
Doesn't matter, register right away before the points post. You'll get the extra points for your return trip as long as it started on the 8th or later. And at least in the past, offers like this were always retro-active anyhow, so even if the points do post before you register when the overnight housekeeping procedures are run it will post the extra points.
