You'd have to talk with Amtrak_Russ, as he's the one who started that Facebook site. Management here has nothing to do with it.

not no more untill you re-join. Facebook moved all groups to a new location and archived them untill you re-open them.
Looks like the Administrator has gone AWOL and the group is an orphan. No one appears to be responding to requests to join anymore.

Yep - he hasn't been on AU for almost a year now. Don't know where he is. He is also the Mod for the AU group on Flickr. He set me as a Mod for that group, too, but not the FB AU group.

Probably the best thing would be for someone to start a new AU group on FB.

I forgot about the group for a while. I found I am in moderated or unable to post status. What is the status of the group?
It says you are already a member. But Kevin needs to approve your first post, because the group had some spam problems. Once he has done that, you will be able to post in the future.

That is why I stopped visiting the group.

Pretty much the same with me, I had occasional thoughts of sending a test message or something, but that would be just "noise." When I really have something to say or post like photos, I wind up posting elsewhere and it posts right away.

I have had no problem posting on the Facebook group, which of course I do a lot. I suppose I must have gotten approved at some point soon after I bitched and moaned about it. :)
Aloha

When the Facebook AU page got slammed with spam Kevin put all messages on moderator approval. I t was a short while before it was noticed that there was an approval option that permanently approved posting. One reason it was not noticed right away, was if someone was responding to a poster approval was not needed. Approval was required only for new threads/subjects, and that is where two checks were offered, one for current message approval, one for approval of the poster.

Hope that explains any confusion, there is no way to explain Facebook itself.
