Which trains Are you taking to the gathering. I know that those from the east and west have other trains to catch in order to connect to the trains above but I only got a 20 option limit so Work with what I have.

Most likely I'll just take NJT and do the SEPTA shuffle to get into Philly

BTW, the train from Chicago to Washington is named Capitol Limited not Capital Limited

Either SEPTA or Regional. Then, again, as someone else said on another thread, maybe drive up to the hotel near the airport and park and take SEPTA from there. I'll have to see what the SEPTA schedule is for getting me back to DE.

I will take NJT from Chatham to NYP and then Amtrak Regional to PHL.

I will be using Septa the whole weekend commuting back and forth from home.. I will be using the Manayunk/Norristown Line departing from Miquon and arriving at whichever the station closest to the days events are. If it's PHL, Suburban, Market East, Temple U, or University City. I can meet up anywhere in the system those days. I can also leave from Chestnut Hill West/East, and Fort Washington. Although I prefer Miquon. As Miquon is close to home and is about a 10 minute drive and has close parking to the station. CHW/E are a 15 minute drive and parking is a bit of a hassle. Fort Washington and is a 20 minute drive and parking is only easy on weekends.
A bit confusing.. But I like being that way.

In two years, if the next West Coast Gathering is held anywhere in California, I could have a pretty good chance of coming. Until then, SCHOOL :'(For a little while, I guess I'll have to hold off and just enjoy my micro-gatherings with Golden grrl and the scientist when they visit SoCal.

I have no idea how I'm getting to the Gathering yet. Kind of depends on my work schedule. It's been awhile since I've taken the Pennsy and I've never taken it eastbound. Looks like there's still sleepers available on the westbound Cardinal leaving on Sunday too. But I'd hate to miss any activity if we do anything on Sunday.

Still planning on 300-30-148 at this point, but still trying to get points enough for a redemption (currently have them banked for a one zone if I want to redeem from TOL, but I might need a redemption to get home from SAC first [if I have to go with that method, would be a coach redemption] )

Booking a Hostelling International stop in the United States as part of a trip? I've noticed it's cheaper to book through http://www.hiusa.org/ instead of by a similar URL that they also hold - for some reason, the one I don't list charges a booking fee, among other things.

I'm voting for ANY "behind the scenes tours" (Bowels of 30th St. Station, anything) over any rail-riding or transit hopping tours......just saying.....But I'd hate to miss any activity if we do anything on Sunday.
Haven't started work on the itinerary yet, but there will definitely be activities on Sunday morning for sure. And I'll probably plan an afternoon ride for those not getting out of dodge on Sunday, even though the main event will end late/morning or early/afternoon.
btw, certainly appreciate all the WORK done by committee members and OTHERS for this annual soiree.

Well, if we do one or both of these in Wilmington, there are some nice restaurants along the river (Christina, not Delaware) within walking distance.
