jis got me almost obsessively interested in the Indian railway system. Anyway, I found this really cool site that some railfans have put together called indiarailinfo.com/diary where riders can post LIVE updates on their trip. More than just posting to a forum like here, they apparently use geolocation on their phone to update the progress of any given train which is shown in a separate window to the right. Comments can be made on the fly and folks can reply. I don't know all the intricacies but this is by far the coolest trip reporting/rail fan thing I've seen.

Sheesh. This was meant to stay in the Amtrak forum because I wanted to add "Is there anyone who can do this sort of web programming here in the US for Amtrak?"
