correct me if i am wrong burt if i use points to get a ticket and the ticket has been ticketed i need to send it back to AGR if i need to change dates of travel.. other wise if not ticketed i can just call AGR and change dates.. ?

That is correct. If you have your reservation booked but did NOT print the tickets, a quick call to AGR can change the reservation.

Unfortunately if you did print your ticket, then you have to mail the tickets back to get your points credited back to your account. If you enough points for the new reservation in your account without sending back the tickets, they can make you the new reservation right away, though.

This is why we always suggest to not print your tickets until you are ready to travel.

I have been told in the recent past that printed tickets can be exchanged at a counter.

That's correct. I did that about a year ago. Went from a NER on June 28 to an AE FC my return was next day on an NER both NER's were coach. Changed the date of the NER to July 5. Points were adjusted and exchanged tickets.
