My girlfriend and I are planning on taking a trip from Chicago to New Orleans. I am using the Buy One Get One Free coupon that I received when I signed up for the AGR Credit Card. If I refer her to AGR, will we be eligible for the 500 points even though her ticket would have a zero dollar value? Thanks in advance!

No. The free ticket does not earn points and does not count as travel for the sign-up and referral bonuses.My girlfriend and I are planning on taking a trip from Chicago to New Orleans. I don't know the terms and conditions of the buy one, get one coupon, but could you have her ticket as the paid ticket and your's as the free ticket? If you could do that, then it would work.

I assume you live in or near Chicago, since you're going from Chicago to New Orleans.
How about taking a short one way ride on Amtrak (say Chicago to Glenview) and take METRA back!
If done within 90 days of registering for AGR, this would qualify for the bonuses!
