For example, I just took a trip with Ryan. And I mentioned that in a thread. It would be ideal for Ryan to be able to track things like that (as he might want to chime in).
I'm not sure how technically feasible that is using this platform, but it would be a great improvement.

I think he is referring to being TAGGED as opposed to tracked. You are not being tracked, you are being tagged as relevant to the conversation and this tag notifies you that you are relevant to the conversation.
Right. I just want to know when people are talking about me. I don't care about being able to look at what other people are saying about other people.

Or the thought that we're actually taking suggestions from the tweeny twitterverse.Personally the thought of being tracked is not something that makes me feel better.
I've seen this on a few forums and it has both good and bad points. Sometimes you discover a random remark or follow-up question that may have gone unnoticed in the past. However, it can also result in information overload if you post a lot or if the board is very big or very active. In the end I really don't care if I miss what someone has to say about me or my posts. If they need a response they can always PM me. That way I'm virtually guaranteed to see it and probably respond. I think there's only been one person whose PM I refused to respond to here on AU.

This feature is coming in the 3.3 version of the IP.Board software. But this forum is already behind a couple revisions. I run 3.2 on my board.
We're currently running 3.1, so we're not way behind. There may have been a few minor sub revisions, but we're only one step behind 3.2.
Take care and take trains!
