29 degrees in Raton?? :unsure: Is this for real?? :ohboy: If so I'm running away! :lol: I want nothing to do with a 29 degree day, not to mention 3 out of 4 in short sleeves! :lol: :lol: :lol: But hey 29 is a great number in my life. Forget 29 degrees, it was snowing heavily as our Zephyr went through the Sierra Nevadas. There was at least 6 inches on the ground and it was still coming down as we crossed.

When returning from PDX a few years ago in late March, while the CZ was crossing the Sierra Nevadas, #6 went thru a full blown blizzard!Posted Image

Snow...One of my FAVORITE words, and I LOVE to shovel it too!

Keeping my fingers crossed that when I return east on the Zephyr in January, we'll have "some snow"......plz, plz, plz....

Booking a Hostelling International stop in the United States as part of a trip?  I've noticed it's cheaper to book through http://www.hiusa.org/ instead of by a similar URL that they also hold - for some reason, the one I don't list charges a booking fee, among other things.

That is the look of someone who appears to have spent much of the prior evening out partying in the clubs than sleeping. :cool: Not that I would have any kind of knowledge those activities :lol:

It's called a Neck Safe, I beleive. The brand name is Pacsafe. I purchased one when someone on AU put up the info a couple of years ago & I purchased one. It is very convenient & well worth the money. I use it for tickets, diner reservation cards, pens, note pad etc.
