I thought we may want to compare hotel locations in STL to give an idea of the rates to expect.

I'll start!

I got a room at the Hilton St Louis Downtown at a AAA rate of $98 per night - plus earning 500 AGR points! :) It says it's on Metrolink at 8th & Pine. By the map, it looks like about 4 blocks.

A training I will go ... !

I got me a reservation for $98 + Tax at the hotel too for the nights of 8th and 9th.

Aloha

When I check in I provide both my Hilton and AGR card, and they post to both. What was strange I had won a free weekend 2 years ago and got both sets of points based on the list rack rate for the room, and the meals I charged to the room.

Eric

btw Do you think the ST Louis Hilton can survive us, And I promise not to Sing "Meet me in ..."

When you sign into your HHonors account, in the place where you would normally put your airline frequent flyer number, instead of choosing United or American, chose Amtrak and enter your AGR number. Also choose points and miles. You'll receive 500 AGR points for the stay!

What - you're not a HHonors member? Sign up! Unlike other hotel frequent stay programs, with HHonors you earn BOTH hotel points AND AGR points. :D (Other hotels - like Starwood and Marriott - give you one or the other but not both.)

A training I will go ... !
