Well, it's only been about a week since I got off the Sunset after my wonderful San Antonio trip, but I find myself wanting to get back on the rails a.s.a.p!
So, here's what i'm proposing to do, probabaly in the next few weeks...
1) Get a Southwest Airlines pass and fly from New Orleans to Orlando...I'd arrive in Orlando at 9:30am. (sometimes it actually pays working for an airline)
2) Take a Coach USA connection to the Amtrak station
3) Depart ORL on #1 at 1:45pm, getting back to NOL at 9:20am the next morning.
I can do this over my two days off, and the rail price is only $45 for coach!!!! That, to me, sounds VERY reasonable!
So, I'll keep everyone posted, but I'm really considering doing this right now.
